Abbey Road Studios!!!
| Me crossing that famous crossing. |
After crossing Abbey Road we set off to Trafalgar Square via the subway. That place is amazing, when we first arrived we just stood there and just looked around. The buildings, the crowds, the performers, the statues:Trafalgar Square is home to Nelson's Column, iconic bronze lions, the famous Fourth Plinth and a lot of pigeons.

Next was Harrods - wow, that store just goes on and on. It ooozes money. If they can stamp the word Harrods on something it's there. So many employees with not much to do but smile at the tourists. Anyway I did find these two chaps inside the shop. I like the soft cuddly types.
Notice the shorts - today is the hottest day in London ALL year a high of 22 degress. Bare skin everywhere and on some people VERY pink/red skin.
Lunch today was a baguette with salad - very tasty.
The weather is positively sizzling at 22. Good to see you got your shorts out! The Abbey Rd pic is perfect.
ReplyDeleteToday is a little cooler - back in long pants.
DeleteWe are off to Paris tomorrow on the train - our adventure continues.
How was the Beatles show? Would love to know what George Harrison and John Lennon looked like.
ReplyDeleteWe got to take pictures, dance and scream. George and John scrubbed up well !!!!!
DeleteGreat show with over 40 songs, we really enjoyed it.
We saw London on the news tonight with the dust storm from Africa and thought of you. It obviously hadn't got to you when these pictures were taken.
ReplyDeleteDid not even know about a dust storm. The only thing that was on the news was the very high level of pollution that was too occur today, perhaps it was related.
DeleteDance and scream???? Can't imagine you screaming Peter Jeffrey! We need photo proof of that.
ReplyDeleteYou've certainly done well with the weather. I guess we'll be seeing the Beatles out in the colonies before too long.
